CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of West Georgia Men's basketball program and head coach
Dave Moore released their full 28 game 2023-2024 schedule on Wednesday.
Season ticket renewals will open on Monday, October 9 and will be open to the general public on Friday, October 13.
After a 21-10 record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament last season, UWG will officially kick off their 2023-24 campaign at the South Region crossover with matchups against Embry Riddle and Palm Beach Atlantic on November 10 and 11.
The Wolves will open up their home schedule against Fort Valley State on November 18 before opening up their conference schedule a week later on November 25 against Auburn Montgomery.
After a three-game home slate, West Georgia will hit the road for a Thursday night contest with Christian Brothers on November 30, concluding their November schedule.
UWG is set to play five conference games in the month of December, beginning with a home matchup against Union on December 3 and ending with a big-time matchup with Alabama Huntsville on December 30.
Heading into the new year, the conference schedule continues as the Wolves are set to play eight conference games in the month of January, beginning with West Alabama on January 2 in The Coliseum. After opening the calendar year against the Tigers, West Georgia will then play four home games and three on the road in the month, with Lee, Delta State, Montevallo, Christian Brothers, and West Florida all taking the trip to Carrollton, while Shorter, Mississippi College, and Union all are set to welcome UWG to their buildings.
West Georgia opens up the month of February, with a three-game road trip, starting by taking a trip to Valdosta, GA for a matchup with their rivals, Valdosta State, on February 3 which could be the last matchup between the two in their storied rivalry. The Wolves' road trip goes through February 14 as West Georgia is set to take trips to AUM and West Alabama before coming back home to The Coliseum on February 17 for a weekend rematch against Alabama Huntsville.
UWG will close out the month of February with three games against Lee, Shorter, and Mississippi College before closing out the regular season on March 2 with a road matchup against Delta State.
Super Tuesday, the Quarterfinals of the Gulf South Conference Championships, is set for March 5, while the Semi-finals and Finals are slated for March 9 and 10 in Birmingham, Alabama.
