MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of West Georgia soccer team fought to a scoreless draw with the Montevallo Falcons to open up their Gulf South Conference slate.
The Wolves (0-1-3) played heavy defense to keep the Falcons from seeing the back of the net and finding crafty responses to shut down any offensive build-up.
With a career-high of 10 saves, senior goalkeeper Haley Brinkman completely dominated in her efforts to keep Montevallo at bay. Being faced with 23 shots, Brinkman remained cool under the pressure and gave a solid performance.
