CARROLLTON, Ga. - Homecoming is a time-honored tradition across the country in college football, and this week, it's UWG's turn to welcome home alumni, friends, fans, and family as the Wolves football team hosts Central Arkansas.
West Georgia (5-3, 2-3 UAC) returns home after a tough road trip, looking to treat the fans to a sixth win of the season while snapping a three-game skid, while Central Arkansas (3-4, 2-1 UAC) returns from a bye week and looks to win a third straight.

It will mark the 10th game between UWG and UCA and the first in Carrollton since 2002 when both teams were members of the Gulf South Conference. For just the second time, the programs meet as Division I programs, with the Bears winning an epic, 34-33 game in Conway last season.
This year's teams are on two different trajectories as the Wolves have dropped three straight against ranked opponents while the Bears are coming off wins over Utah Tech and North Alabama after opening the campaign 1-4.
Last time out for the Wolves was a 45-10 loss to third-ranked Tarleton State. The Texans are the only common opponent thus far between UWG and UCA, and the Bears fell to Tarleton 56-10 at home back on September 13.
The teams have similar numbers offensively, with UCA averaging about 55 yards more of total offense while the Wolves have a slight advantage in scoring offense.
UWG has the edge in total defense and scoring defense, although the Bears had a Power Four opponent, Missouri, to open the season and gave up 61 points in that loss.
The game features two of the top five running backs in the United Athletic Conference in terms of yards per game as UCA's Landen Chambers averages 106.1 yards per game which is third in the league and UWG's Latrelle Murrell ranks fourth in the league at 78.9 per contest.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. from University Stadium.
