It was a tightly-contested opening half that featured five ties and five lead changes as the teams got their feet under them. Both offenses were slow out of the gate as the teams combined for just 18 points and 12 turnovers in the opening period.

A Mykah Anderson three-pointer at the 5:49 created the biggest separation for the Wolves, putting UWG up 41-31 in the third quarter.
By the end of the period, Stetson had fought all the way back, and UWG needed late free throws from Sydne Tolbert to send the game to the final quarter tied 47-47.
Stetson began the final quarter on a 6-0 run and West Georgia could never recover as the Hatters never lost the lead again. West Georgia stayed within striking distance but never could close the gap.
Jones led the Wolves in rebounding with eight.
The Wolves continue the final stretch of the season on Saturday, traveling to Central Arkansas for a 2 p.m. tip-off in Conway, Arkansas.
