Wolves Baseball Grabs Game Two Win

CHARLOTTE, N.C., - Led by strong performances by senior Will Dean on the mound and multiple Wolves at the plate, UWG (19-31, 10-19 ASUN) broke their five-game losing streak with a 9-3 win over Queens (9-43, 7-22 ASUN) tonight in Carolina. Tonight's 10th conference victory evens the series at one apiece with the final game of the season set to start at 1 p.m. tomorrow.

In 5.2 frames, Dean struck out four batters and allowed only one run. This marked his second straight game with four punchouts.

Four Wolves recorded a multi-hit game today with Cooper Prince, Carson Mynatt, Jacob Bowman tallying three and Noah Darden hitting two.

Following the game, head coach Jeff Smith had this to say, "We had a quality start today. Will Dean gave us a great five and two thirds innings, struck out four and scattered seven hits. We also located the ball. Cooper Prince went 3-for-5 tonight with two RBIs and a homer. A bunch of guys were locating the ball. We are excited to get back tomorrow and try to close the season out with a 20th win."
