CARROLLTON, Ga. - Graduate student baseball pitcher Dosie Drakeford was named to the 2025 Academic All-ASUN Team for his outstanding year in the classroom and on the diamond.
Drakeford is one of 14 ASUN players to earn these honors. Capping off the season with his first UWG win, the relief pitcher earned three saves and boasted a 3.18 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 28.1 frames across 19 appearances.
In his 10 conference games, the Kennesaw native went 1-0 and earned one save, posting an impressive 2.41 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 18.2 innings.
In the classroom, Drakeford boasts a 4.0 GPA while earning his masters in sport management.
Drakeford is the first UWG male athlete to earn a spot on the Academic All-ASUN Team, but the fourth overall UWG student-athlete, joining Zuriyah Davis (Women's Basketball), Carleigh Bynum (Women's Track and Field) and Calli Hardison (Softball).
