LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Playing in her hometown, junior guard Sydne Tolbert dropped a career-high 24 to lead a pack of six double-digit scorers in a 106-65 Atlantic Sun Conference road victory over the Bellarmine Knights.
West Georgia (8-5, 1-1 ASUN) shot a blistering 59.6 percent from the field in the win while pouring in 13 three-pointers while limiting Bellarmine (2-13, 0-2 ASUN) to 61 points and forcing 28 turnovers in the victory.
The Wolves never trailed in the game. They would turn the 28 BU turnovers into 37 points on the other end.
Along with Tolbert's big game, Jasmine Jones scored 23 with Asia Donald scoring 18. The Wolves got 11 each from Destiny Jones and Grace O'Gara while Gal-la Font finished with 10.
UWG quickly got a double-digit lead in the opening quarter, leading 12-2 midway through. The Wolves' led by as much as 11 in the quarter before Bellarmine fought back and got it to five. Asia Donald got a key offensive rebound and putback on the Wolves' final possession of the quarter to send it to the second with UWG up 21-14.
After shooting just under 60 percent in the first, the offense kicked it up a notch in the second, shooting 10-for-15 (66.7 percent) from the field in the second, and ended the first half with with a 62 percent clip from the field.
The defense was solid as well, holding the Knights under 30 percent in the second period and allowed just 27 points first half points.
Led by 17 first half points from Sydne Tolbert, UWG led by as much as 27 in the second quarter and led by 26 at the break.
West Georgia was a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the third quarter and scored nine times at the charity stripe, extending the lead to 81-43 after three quarters.
In the fourth, UWG outscored Bellarmine 25-18, reaching their largest lead of the night at the 2:05 mark at 46 points.
West Georgia had the advantage on the glass and was led by Jasmine Jones' five rebounds and the Carrollton native also led in assists with four alongside Asia Donald. O'Gara had a team-high five steals.
UWG will now return home for their first ASUN action at home next Thursday, hosting North Florida at 7 p.m. on January 8.

- It's the 20th 100-point game in program history and the second this season. It's the first time the Wolves have dropped triple digits against a Division I opponent.
- UWG's 59.6 percent clip from the field is the highest of the season and a Division I-era high. The Wolves tied a season and Division I best 59.1 percent clip from beyond the arc.
- It's the second time this season that the Wolves have posted five or more double-digit scorers.
