CARROLLTON, Ga. - The UWG softball team dropped a Wednesday night non-conference matchup to the Jax State Gamecocks, 13-2, at University Field.

JSU then added one run in the third and two more in the sixth to lead 9-0.
West Georgia didn't get a baserunner until the third inning, and got on the board in the bottom of the sixth. UWG got just one hit in the sixth and was aided by a pair of JSU errors and scored two.
In the seventh, JSU added four runs on two hits and three walks to account for the final tally.
UWG had just four hits in the game.
The Wolves are on the road this weekend at Furman, playing four games in two days. UWG's first action of the weekend is against Seton Hall at 10:30 a.m. from the campus of Furman in Greenville, South Carolina.
