Smith Selected Academic All-ASUN

CARROLLTON, Ga.- It was announced on Monday by the Atlantic Sun Conference that West Georgia catcher Hank Smith earned Academic All-ASUN honors, becoming the first Wolf in UWG baseball history to earn this distinction.

The Cartersville, Georgia native recently earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies while posting a stellar 3.69 GPA. On the field, the senior catcher played in 27 games, totaling nine hits, four runs, four RBIs, one homer and one double this season.

One of Smith's strongest performances of the year came against Florida Gulf Coast. Vs the Eagles, Smith drove in a season-best three runs and plated one run himself with a homer that would be the difference in the Wolves taking a win over FGCU.
