7/9/2026 11:49:00 AM

CARROLLTON, Ga. - A few months into the 2026 Minor League Baseball season and former UWG baseball alumni, Cade Marlowe '19 and Brendan Parks '25, have been on a tear.

Competing for the Las Vegas Aviators, the Triple-A affiliate of the Las Vegas Athletics, Marlowe's seventh season in professional baseball has been one of his strongest so far. In 302 at-bats, the UWG Hall of Famer has recorded 98 hits, 66 runs, 50 RBIs, 23 doubles, nine triples, seven homers, a .931 OPS and a career-best .325 batting average. These figures rank Marlowe first on the team in runs, doubles and triples, second in hits, doubles, batting average, and OPS, and fourth in homers. He also leads the Aviators with 23 steals.

Parks has made a statement so far in his first two months competing for the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Single-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Pitching in 21.2 innings across 11 games, the former Wolves' reliever has struck out an impressive 36 batters and has posted a 3-0 record and a 4.15 ERA. Parks earned his first professional victory against the Milwaukee Brewers' Single-A affiliate, the Wilson Warbirds, on May 20, 2026. In 2.1 innings, Parks struck out two batters and held the Warbirds to two earned runs.

Marlowe's Aviators are currently playing a home series vs the Tacoma Rainiers, and Parks' Shorebirds are hosting a series against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers this week.
