Speedy and talented back returning to the field after a two-year hiatus ... was an All-Gulf South Conference performer for two seasons at Delta State, but hasn't seen the field since playing the national championship game in the 2011 season with the Statesmen ... Played at Jonesboro High School under coach Larry Mortonson before transferring to Mundy's Mill High School where he played under coach Kenneth Barrow...Also played baseball and basketball while in high school ... One of the most explosive backs in the Gulf South Conference during his debut season at DSU...Finished with 843 yards on 116 carries and 11 touchdowns...Career high 12 carries for 139 yards versus West Georgia...Also caught 13 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown...Returned 30 punts for 332 yards...Long was 52 yards in the NCAA Playoff win over North Alabama...Named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference All-Purpose player...Finished the season with 1394 all-purpose yards.
