Biography

Heard came to West Georgia as a true freshman after a stellar career at Newark High School in Newark, Ohio, where he helped lead his squad to 46 wins and just five losses over the past two seasons. In 2017-18, Newark reached the third round of the Ohio High School state playoffs, when Heard was named Honorable Mention All-Central District as a junior. As a sophomore, he helped his squad reach the fourth round of the Ohio High School state playoffs in the 2016-17 campaign. This past summer, Heard played for Team Ohio in the U-18 JIT Junior International Championships, winning the tournament in Lissone, Italy. 

2021-2022
Played in all 28 games for the Wolves, starting in 16 of them... averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds on 52.5% shooting and 46.7% from three...Scored a season-high 12 points against Christian Brothers on February 5, 2022.

2020-21
Played 14 games and started in 6 of those games as a sophomore at UWG…averaged 2.4 points per game while grabbing 23 rebounds per game…Heard missed a lot of time due to an injury.

2019-20
Played in 28 games with 12 starts as a true freshman at UWG ... started his first collegiate game at Union on January 23, 2020 ... over the final 12 games of the season, as a starter, Heard scored in double-figures seven times ... his top scoring night came against Union on January 30 at home, where he had 18 points on 8-of-9 shooting in his first game as a starter in front of a home crowd ... had a season-high eight rebounds against West Alabama on February 20.

"Keshawn Heard is a 6-8, 225-lb forward who can play inside and out," said Moore. "He comes from a great high school program and had one of the best high school coaches in Ohio, Jeff Quackenbush. We are excited about Keshawn's ability to help us right away as a freshman."
