Ways of Giving
Annual Cash Gifts
Annual cash gifts given to Join the Wolves Club are deposited into an unrestricted fund and are used to help fulfill scholarship and priority needs of our athletic department. Every dollar in a cash gift count's towards a donor's priority point total.
Important Notes
All annual donations that qualify for Wolves Club status intended for priority parking and football season tickets must be made at the time of purchase.
If you are employed by the University of West Georgia and would like to make your contribution over time via payroll deduction please contact the Athletic Foundation office for more information.
Matching Gifts
Check with your employer’s Human Resources department to find out if your company participates in a matching gift program. If they do, inquire about how to obtain the appropriate form to send along with your cash donation.
Your company’s matching gift program may contain a provision to match athletic foundation donations. Some company matches will range from 25% up to three times the gift amount. All matching funds are credited to the donor’s annual giving total for the year.
Securities
A gift of appreciated stock may be your preferred method of gift. If you intend to give a gift of stock, please contact the Athletic Foundation office for more information. Donations of stocks must be made by year-end to be counted as tax-deduction for the current year.
Scholarship Endowments
Endowing a scholarship is a way for you to leave your legacy at the University of West Georgia. Unlike an annual gift, the corpus of the endowment gift remains in perpetuity. The interest income is used to benefit future student-athletes.
Planned Gifts
By planning today, your legacy can become an investment in the education of future student-athletes. Include the University of West Georgia Athletic Foundation in your estate plans. Begin by naming the foundation in your will. The Athletic Foundation recognizes all individuals as members of the Wolves Legacy Society who notify the foundation of their intent to make a bequest in their will.
Gifts-In-Kind
In addition to annual cash gifts, goods and services are needed to build the strength of our athletic department. Catering services, printing supplies, courtesy cars, are simply a few items among the department’s day-to-day needs.
