Made eight starts and 15 appearances for UWG... Accumulated a 3-3 record and a 7.90 ERA... Finished second on the team in strikeouts with 36 in 35.1 innings... Had a season-high eight strikeouts in 5.1 innings agaisnt Augusta on February 4.

Overview: 
Beginning his collegiate career at Georgia Highlands College, Townsend spent two seasons with the Chargers, appearing in 20 total games on the mound. During the 2020-21 season, Townsend appeared in 16 games, making 12 starts, posting 62 innings and a season ERA of 5.23. During the 2022 season, Townsend was a member of the Kennesaw State Owls where he saw limited action. He only appeared in three games during the season, and only pitched three innings.
