Marion Military
As a freshman in 2019 at Marion Military, Barker had 15 appearances with a 2-2 record on the year. Working mostly out of the bullpen, he had a 1.54 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched, allowing 23 hits and jut four earned runs on the year. He struck out 21 batters on the year, averaging 8.10 strikouts per nine innings. In 2020, he pitched in just seven games with one start, throwing 14 innings iwth just nine hits and two earned runs allowed. He had 18 strikeouts to five walks and a 1.29 ERA before the season was cut short due to COVID-19.

Overview
Barker, a native of Pensacola, Florida, is a mid-year graduate of Marion Military Institute, where he pitched for head coach Matt Downs as a freshman in 2019 followed by a COVID-shortened season in the spring of 2020. He attended and played high school baseball at Bay High School in Pensacola.
