Mike Summers Jr. was added to David Dean's coaching staff prior to the 2023 season as the Wolves' wide receiver coach.
Prior to arriving in Carrollton, Summers gained coaching experience at the high school level, working in his hometown of Statesboro, serving for three years as Statesboro High School's Wide Receivers coach and Co-Offensive Coordinator.Â
As a player, Summers was a three-year letterwinner at Georgia Tech where he played wide receiver and was part of the Yellow Jackets' 2014 Orange Bowl championship team and the team that won the Hyundai Sun Bowl in 2012. Summers earned his Bachelors in Business administration from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2015.
