•  Part of a talented and young linebacking core at UWG.
•  Started off the season strong with six total tackles against Tusculum on September 3.
•  Had 17 tackles on the season.
•  Had a sack of six yards against Saint Augustine's on October 15.
•  Was also a menace in the opposing backfield with two quarterback hurries and a pass break-up.

Prepped for coach Chris Parker at Chapel Hill High in Douglasville ... had 600 receiving yards and six touchdowns as a senior ... clocked at 4.6 in the 40.  Named All-Douglas County as a senior in 2010. Also a track star, Slater has a PR of 17.25 in the 110m hurdles and 45.95 in the 300m hurdles ...
