Currently in his first season on staff, Idris Taqqee is a graduate assistant for the UWG men's basketball program.
Prior to joining Dave Moore's staff, Taqqee was a four-year letterwinner and three-year captain at St. Bonaventure where he played in 124 games while making 94 career starts. There he helped the Bonnies the the Atlantic 10 Regular Season Championship in 2016 and an appearance in the NIT. Two years later, Taqqee helped St. Bonaventure to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
As a student at St. Bonaventure, Taqqee earned a Bachelor's Degree in International and Global Studies.
As a prep player at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, Taqqee was a two-time New England Prep School Athletic Conference Champion.
A native of Snellville, GA, Taqqee is pursing a Master's Degree in Sport Management from UWG.
