Biography
A 6-9, 245-pound power forward, and comes to West Georgia from Chipola College, a traditional junior college power in Florida. The Georgia native hails from Gray, near Macon, and is a graduate of Jones County High School.
Dupree was a three-sport standout at Jones County. However, it was baseball and his fastball about 90 miles per hour that brought him the most attention. When an arm injury curtailed his baseball aspirations, Dupree turned to basketball and to coach Pat Blake's program at Chipola. Cooney adds that Blake's recommendation was a big plus in UWG's decision to recruit Dupree.
