Sylvia Welsh joined the UWG softball staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2023 season.
She came to Carrollton after stops at Polk State College in 2023 and was a part of Kristy Burton's staff at Webber International in 2022. At Polk State, Welsh helped coach five First Team All-Conference selections and was part of a Conference Championship team at Webber International and also coached the Conference Pitcher of the Year.
As a player, Welsh was a First Team All-Conference selection at Warner University, and a First Team All-Academic selection three times. In 2017, she was awarded the Best Female Performance. A native of Auburndale, Florida, Welsh graduated from Warner in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Education.
