Butcher, primarily a center back or holding center midfielder, currently plays for Barnsley Women in the FA Women's National Division 1 League. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak canceled the season, Barnsley was heading for promotion with a 15-1-1 record. Prior to joining Barnsley, Butcher played for Sheffield FC women, where she made her senior team debut at just 16 years old.
