Ranesha Cook was no stranger to UWG Athletics when she joined the sports medicine staff in the summer of 2023. She currently services the UWG soccer and softball teams.
"Ray", as she is known by the UWG family, was a graduate assistant for UWG sports medicine from 2021 until her graduation with her Master's in Sports Management in 2023. As a graduate assistant, Cook was the trainer for Wolves softball and also assisted with football.
Cook has been a member of the National Athletic Training Association since 2019.Â
A native of Blytheville, Arkansas, Cook earned an Associate's degree from Mississippi Delta Community College before moving on and graduating in 2021 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training.
