Izabel Nikolaeva has an impressive background in tennis, both as a player and a coach. As a player, she was a multi-time national champion in Bulgaria and represented the country on the Bulgarian National Team for juniors. She held top national rankings, including 1st place for both the 12 & Under and 14 & Under categories, and achieved a Tennis Europe Junior Ranking of 95.
Competing at a Division 1 level in college, she contributed to her team for winning the MEAC Team Championship in her first year and recorded victories against nationally ranked players. Prior to her position as a graduate assistant at UWG, she was competing for Shorter University where she won multiple conference matches and presented the team at the top of the lineup.
As a coach, she has several years of experience in Bulgaria developing many players to a collegiate level in the United States.
