Rhonda Bush has been at the helm of the UWG tennis program since 2021. In 2023, Bush led the team to a 11-9 season which is the program’s winningest season since the return of tennis to the university in 2010. She coached Iullia Dmitrieva to a record-breaking season in which the graduate transfer took the top spot of most wins at the No. 1 line in one season.
In her first season, she guided Camille Portalier to an All-Gulf South Conference season as Portalier set s school record for wins in number one singles play. The progression continued in 2022, as the Wolves produced two eight-win players last year in Elle Jones and Perinne Blachon.
Prior to her arrival at UWG, She was a huge a part of the Carroll County tennis scene for years, working with both club teams and local high schools. She was involved with the Villa Rica High School program, in which she worked with one of the top players in UWG tennis history, Shelby Brown.
She and her husband, Jeff, have lived in Carroll County for the past 21 years, and they have two sons, Andrew and Bryan.
