Making his way from Wilson, North Carolina, Jake Adams joins the UWG women’s volleyball staff as a graduate assistant prior to the 2025 season.
Most recently, Adams earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and sport management with a minor in critical research from Barton College in the spring of 2025.
While in school, he competed for the Barton College men’s volleyball team, playing in a total of 291 sets through 90 matches. In his four seasons with the Bulldogs, the North Carolina native racked up 568.5 points, 492 kills, 373 digs, 42 assists and 30 service aces.
In addition to playing, Adams gained valuable coaching experience by helping assist youth volleyball camps for schools like the University of Tampa since 2022 and the University of Central Florida since 2024.
He has also served as a coach for the Triangle Volleyball Club from August of 2024 until now and coached the Orlando Gold Volleyball Club from May-July of 2023.
On top of playing and coaching, Adams also took on the role manager of the Barton College women’s volleyball from 2021-2025.
Beginning his master’s in sports management this semester, Adams is expected to finish in December of 2026.
