Hailing from Irvington, New Jersey, Rayna Smith joins the UWG women’s volleyball staff as a graduate assistant before the 2025 season.
Prior to joining the staff, Smith most recently served as a graduate assistant for the University of Louisiana Monroe from 2024-25.
Before ULM, she worked as a student assistant coach at Kean University for three seasons, helping the Cougars secure Eastern College Athletic Conference titles in 2021 and 2022.
During this time, Smith also volunteered as assistant volleyball coach at Frank H. Morrell High School in Newark, N.J. and was a volleyball camp instructor at the University of Texas at Austin in July of 2023. She also has been involved in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Mentorship Program.
Smith earned a bachelor’s in exercise science with an associate degree in physical education from Kean University.
Starting her master’s in sports management this semester, Smith is expected to finish in the spring of 2026.
