Biography

2011
•  Has been a stellar addition to the UWG lineup this season.
•  Played in 24 of the Wolves' 25 matches and has hit in double-digit kills in nine.
•  Had 14 kills three different times this season before picking up a career-high 15 kills against New Orleans on October 8.
•  Is among the top-10 in the Gulf South Conference in service aces with 27 on the year.

Overview
Menchinger came to West Georgia as one of the more highly decorated incoming freshman of the 2011-12 class. Playing for coach Dottie Licciardi at Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Menchinger racked up some impressive statistics and awards in the course of her high school career. She had 1,285 career kills, 929 kills and 239 aces. Her career kills and digs numbers are the school record for Whitewater and her aces are third all-time. In addition, she was oustanding on the block and is fourth all-time in that category. In 2009, she led the AAAA classification in kills with 501, a number that was second in the state for all classifications. In that season, she earned HIgh School All-American honors from Prepvolleyball.com while leading her team to the state AAAA title as well as earning the title of 2009 AAAA Georgia Player of the Year. She is a three-time All-State performer, earning First Team honors as a junior and senior. Menchinger is also an excellent student and is a member of the National Beta Club and National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Mike and Kathryn Menchinger and plans to major in Education at UWG.
