One of the longest tenured members of the UWG Athletics staff is Assistant Athletic Trainer, Bill Green.

Green, a native of Rome, Georgia, has been at UWG for 15 years caring for the health and well-being of West Georgia's student athletes. Green's primary sports are those inside The Coliseum, though he helps in many other ways for multiple sports.

Originally arriving at UWG as a student, Green was the UWG Student Athletic Trainer of the Year in 1996. Green graduated from UWG with a history degree in 2000 and upon graduating, Green was a sports medicine intern for Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves. He then returned back to UWG for the 2006-2007 season as the Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Green spent two years as the Head Athletic Trainer for Carrollton High School from 2006-2007 before returning to West Georgia in 2009.

He holds a certification from the National Athletic Trainer's Association, and in 2013, was named the Athletic Trainer of the Year for the state of Georgia.
