Micah Cannon is entering his first year as an assistant coach at the University of West Georgia after completing his masters at Emporia State University. Over his two years at Emporia State, he coached the catchers and outfielders while also assisting with the hitters.
A native of Harrogate, Tennessee, Micah played college baseball at Bryan College from 2018 to 2020. During his time with the Lions, the team won over 75 games across the 2018 and 2019 seasons and earned a regional appearance in 2019.
Micah spent the summer head coaching in the Jayhawk Collegiate League with the Junction City Brigade. They made an NBC World Series appearance and had an overall record of 27-12.Â
Prior to coaching he was still involved in baseball, he worked for a non-profit organization, which gave him the opportunity to travel extensively—spending time in the Dominican Republic and with college and professional teams/coaches throughout the United States.
