Peyton Burke joined Steve Englehart’s staff ahead of the 2026 season after a stint as the safeties coach at Keiser in Florida.
Burke spent two seasons at Keiser, helping the Seahawks to a 24-2 overall record and 13-0 conference mark in 2024 and 2025 combined. Keiser claimed its fourth straight Sun Conference title in 2025, going a perfect 7-0 in league action this season and reached the NAIA National Championship game for the fourth straight season.
In 2025, Keiser produced 10 interceptions and 48 pass breakups and Burke mentored First-Team All-Sun Conference selection Hunter Hargrave. The defense held opposing quarterbacks to a 44 percent completion rate and gave up just 161 passing yards per game. Additionally, the Seahawks held opponents to a 29% success rate on third downs. All numbers which were improvements from 2024.
Prior to joining the staff at Keiser, Burke was an equipment manager at Arizona State University in 2023.
Burke began his coaching career in 2020, starting at the high school ranks as the quarterbacks coach at his alma mater, Tates Creek High School.
A collegiate quarterback and wide receiver, Burke played at three different schools during his collegiate career. He was a member of the Middle Tennessee Blude Raiders football team, appearing in three straight bowl games (2016 Hawai’i Bowl, 2017 Camellia Bowl, and 2018 New Orleans Bowl) before heading to West Palm Beach to play for Doug Socha and the Keiser Seahawks in 2019. After claiming the 2019 Sun Conference Championship, Burke played at Avila (Mo.) University where he was a KCAC All-Conference selection in 2021.
Burke received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management at Middle Tenneessee State in 2020.
