Reid Sanders joined the UWG staff in 2024 as the running backs coach, but in 2025 was tasked with leading the quarterback room for Joel Taylor and the Wolves.
Last season, under Sanders' tutelage, the Wolves averaged 149.0 yards per game and senior Rajaez Mosley ranked ninth in the league in yards per game. Mosley ended the season with nearly 600 yards and 4.1 ayrds per carry and surpassed 2,000 career rushing yards.Â

Prior to coming to Carrollton, Sanders served as the head coach of Rio Americano High School in Sacramento, California, but makes a return to the college ranks with Taylor’s appointment. At Rio Americano, Sanders led the team to a 9-3 record which was the best mark in 30 years for the program and lost in the State quarterfinals.
Before his time at Rio Americano, Sanders was the offensive coordinator at Capital Christian in Sacramento in 2021 and spent three seasons at St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, Louisiana from 2018-2020.

In 2017, Sanders was the running backs coach at his alma mater, Southern University, coaching the running backs. It was a return to Baton Rouge, as as he began his coaching career there as a graduate assistant in 2013 and 2014. Between stints at Southern, Sanders was at Georgia State in 2015 and 2016, as the running backs coach.

A native of Atlanta, Sanders was a quarterback at Southern before beginning his coaching career as a student assistant. Sanders went on to complete a bachelor’s degree from Southern in 2012 before finishing a master’s degree, also from Southern, in 2015.
