Zac Hancock

A key piece of any successful athletic program is its strength and conditioning program, and UWG Athletics has Zac Hancock assisting in that area for the Wolves. Hancock was named UWG's Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in the summer of 2022.

The appointment to assistant coach came after Hancock spent two years as a graduate assistant for the Wolves, and was a student assistant prior to that position. Hancock worked directly with the 2021 UWG women's golf program that captured their second Gulf South Conference crown in program history. Later that year, Hancock worked with and trained the UWG soccer squad which reached the GSC Championship match for the first time in school history.

In 2024, Hancock is currently the primary assistant for football while serving as the main strength and conditioning coach for both the men's and women's basketball programs. With Hancock as their strength coach, the men's basketball program went on to win a GSC and Regular Season Championship, leading to another NCAA South Region Semifinals appearance.

Hancock has over four years of experience training student-athletes at the collegiate level as well as two years of training experience as a private trainer. He has also earned his certification as Strength & Conditioning Specialist and is a United States Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.

A native of Dallas, Georgia, Hancock earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from UWG and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Education from UWG.
