Zac Hancock

A key piece of any successful athletic program is its strength and conditioning program, and UWG Athletics has Zac Hancock at the helm of that effort, a position he has held since January 2026.

Hancock has been on UWG’s staff for nearly seven years, the last two and a half as the Wolves’ assistant strength and conditioning coach, working primarily with men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and football.

Prior to that appointment, Hancock was a graduate assistant, overseeing the UWG women’s soccer and men’s and women’s golf programs while assisting with baseball. Hancock was a student assistant before that.

In total, Hancock has developed athletes for two teams that captured league titles, the 2021 UWG women’s golf team and the 2024 UWG men’s basketball program.

The Dallas, Georgia native is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and is a United States Weightlifting Level 1 Sport Performance Coach.

Hancock earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from UWG and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Education from UWG. He is married to Cali and the couple resides in Carrollton. Â
