Longtime UWG Professor wins Homecoming Drawing

CARROLLTON, Ga. - Saturday evening was a celebratory moment for the entire University of West Georgia community as Homecoming 2023 ended with a bang with a 38-14 win over North Greenville University. At the conclusion of the third quarter of the game, the campus continued to celebrate as UWG Athletics and Scott Evans Automotive Group drew the name of Terrie Ponder as the winner of the Wolves Grand Raffle.

"Winning a Jeep is fantastic and a dream come true, but winning a Jeep and supporting UWG Athletics is even better," said Ponder. "Go Wolves!

Ponder was one of more than 500 tickets purchased in the Wolves Grand Raffle, with her name drawn by Scott, Skyler, and Stone Evans at the game.

"What a wonderful partnership this proved to be, once again. Scott Evans Automotive Group continues to prove they are fully behind the University of West Georgia and the Wolves," said Director of Athletics Jason Carmichael. "We want to extend a huge kudos to Scott and Skyler Evans, the entire team at Scott Evans Automotive Group, and everyone who helped make this a success by selling tickets and promoting this opportunity."
