CARROLLTON, Ga. – After a perfect 3-0 week with wins coming by an average margin of 13.6 points, the University of West Georgia Men's Basketball Head Coach Dave Moore was named the Division II HoopDirt National Coach of the Week.

Moore picks up his first Coach of the Week nod of the season after leading West Georgia to victories over Lee, Delta State, and Mississippi College this past week.

Under Moore's leadership, the Wolves have a 14-2 record through the first two months of the season, resulting in UWG being ranked #19 in the country. The Cincinnati, Ohio native has orchestrated one of the best defenses in the nation as West Georgia currently ranks fourth in all of Division II in field goal defense, holding teams to a 38.6% field goal percentage.

Sitting with a 14-2 overall record and a 10-2 GSC record, Moore seems to be the clear front runner for the GSC Coach of the Year award which will be announced at the season's end.
