CARROLLTON, Ga.- The Wolves fall 2-0 to the governors of Austin Peay this afternoon during a hard-fought battle. The Wolves also celebrated 10 seniors as their season comes to an end, with only one game left to play.
The game started off evenly matched with many good opportunities from both teams, until Austin Peay's Aniyah Mack, took advantage of an opportunity to find the back of the net in the 27th minute.
Only 3 minutes later, the Governors capitalized on their momentum and scored another goal by Alec Baumgardt in the 30th minute.
The rest of the game brought no goals, only two yellow cards. One issued to Sophie Davidson of Austin Peay, and the second issued to
Jade Butcher of West Georgia.
The Wolves fought hard to comeback in the second half, but were unsuccessful in the attempt. They will go on to face Queens University at home this Friday, at 5:00 p.m., for their final game of the season.
