CARROLLTON, Ga. - The University of West Georgia Volleyball Team dropped their Sunday conference matchup against Stetson at The Coliseum.
UWG (9-15, 2-10 ASUN) struggled against conference opponent, the Stetson Hatters (5-19, 2-11 ASUN) as Anabelle Standish and Zuzanna Rut would put down 19 kills combined on a .558 hitting percentage.
In the beginning, the Hatters took control of the set early by getting out to a quick 12-5 lead. Standish and Rut would be the driving force for Stetson's offense as they would put down four kills combined in the set to give the Hatters an early 1-0 lead over UWG with a, 25-10 win.
The second, started with a promising run by the Wolves getting out to a 9-3 lead early but the Hatters would not go away easily. They would tied the set at 17-17, and eventually take the lead. This would silence all of West Georgia's momentum and Stetson would win the set 25-22 and take a 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third, Stetson would continue their momentum and continue their great offensive play and sweep the Wolves with a 25-18 set win.
Offensively, the Wolves were led by
