MONTEVALLO, Ala. - Sunday went the way of the Falcons in Gulf South Conference softball action as the West Georgia Wolves fell 12-1 to the Montevallo Falcons in the series finale.
Montevallo scored three runs in each of the first four innings, and led 9-0 before UWG got on the board own back-to-back singles around an error in the fourth. It was Calli Hardison who picked up the RBI for the Wolves.
The Falcons then added three more runs in the bottom half to go up 12-1, and then retired UWG in order in the fifth.
West Georgia had just two hits in the game, both coming in the fourth with Makayla Register picking up the other single.
The Wolves used four pitchers in the game with starter Marissa Thompson starting and picking up the loss.
UWG is idle until Friday when they welcome the Lander Bearcats for a non-conference doubleheader in Carrollton.
