Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The UWG softball team fell in Sunday's series finale at West Alabama, falling 10-1 in Gulf South Conference play.
West Georgia (11-22, 4-11 GSC) had just three hits in the game with two of those coming in the final frame. West Alabama (20-11, 9-9 GSC) scored in every inning and took advantage of seven walks, scoring 10 runs on just six hits.
The Tigers went up 2-0 in the first, then added three in the second, one in the third, and four in the fourth to lead 10-0 in the fifth. That's when UWG got on the board as Rylee Green slugged her ninth career home run in the fifth inning to account for UWG's lone run.
The other UWG hits came from Megan Waites and Daniela David.
West Georgia returns to action at home next weekend, hosting Delta State in a Thursday-Friday series at University Field.
