CLINTON, Miss. - After multiple lightning and weather delays, the UWG softball team ultimately fell 10-2 in six innings in their series finale at Mississippi College.

West Georgia (18-32, 7-20 GSC) was held to just four hits in the game and committed two errors as Mississippi College (39-6, 21-6 GSC) completed the sweep of UWG and extended their winning streak to 13 straight victories.

It wasn't until the third inning that either team scored as Mississippi College scored five runs in the third on four hits and an error. All of UWG's scoring came in the fourth and it came on one swing of the bat as Jacelyn Lahr slugged a two-run shot to center field.

The Choctaws then responded with two runs of their own in the bottom half to stretch their lead back to five, and scored three in the sixth to run-rule the Wolves in the series finale.

Lahr finished with two of UWG's four hits while Blaire Bizette and Madison Vandergriff each had one. Calli Hardison took the loss, pitching the first three innings while Destry Lambert pitched 2.2 innings in relief.

The Wolves return home next weekend to wrap up the season hosting in-state rival Valdosta State in what will be the final Division II softball games in UWG history.
