CHARLESTON, SC – The University of West Georgia soccer team fell 3-0 to the College of Charleston on Sunday afternoon.
The Wolves (1-5-0) faced a strong Charleston team and managed to keep the score 0-0 for the first 21 minutes. However, in the 22nd minute, Caroline Fowlkes scored Charleston's first goal, placing the ball into the bottom right corner.
In the second half, Charleston looked to extend their lead, and in the 57th minute, Casey Malone succeeded in doing so.
The Wolves struggled to break through Charleston's defense, managing only one shot throughout the game.
Charleston secured the victory with a third goal in the 78th minute, scored by Faith Slimmer.
UWG finishes its non-conference schedule and will face North Alabama in their first ASUN conference match on Thursday, September 19th, in Florence, AL. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET
