CARROLLTON, Ga.- Senior midfielder Chiara Lape has been named to the 2025 Women's Soccer Academic All-ASUN Team, capping off a standout career at the University of West Georgia that blended academic and athletic excellence.

A native of Borehamwood, England, Lape has maintained an impressive 3.88 GPA as a health and community wellness major with a minor in nutrition. Lape has embodied what it truly means to become a student athlete. 
This season, Lape appeared in 17 matches for the Wolves, earning 11 starts and tallying two goals, including the game-winning goal against Stetson. Her reliability in the midfield and ability to step up in key moments made her essential to the team. 

As a junior in 2024, Lape appeared in 14 games with six starts, logging 466 minutes and notching an assist against Bellarmine. The year prior, she started 14 of 16 matches and ranked fifth on the team in minutes played with 1,137, anchoring the midfield and helping UWG record five shutouts.

Beyond her athletic and academic achievements, Lape has her eyes set on continuing to impact the world of sports after graduation. She plans to pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach or soccer coach at the collegiate level, with a passion for working predominantly with female athletes.
