Sanai Young Earns CSC Academic All-District Honors

CARROLLTON, Ga. - After claiming a spot on the Academic All-ASUN team last month, UWG volleyball senior Sanai Young followed it up by earning College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, marking the second time in her career that she was recognized with this distinction.

To earn these honors, a student athlete must excel on and off the court, with the requirements being a 3.5 GPA and having to participate in at least 90 percent of games.

Young didn't just meet these minimums, she crushed them. Posting a 3.88 GPA while working towards a degree in health and community wellness, the middle blocker also started in all 29 matches for the Wolves this season.

Young finished her illustrious career playing in every possible match over the last four seasons (115) and has started in all but one (114). Her 371 career blocks etched her as fourth all-time in blocks at UWG.
