CARROLLTON, Ga. - Scholarship is the heartbeat of the University of West Georgia department of Athletics, and registration continues this week for the 2025 Wolves Scholarship Golf Classic, as one of the premier golf tournaments in the west Georgia area looks to fill out the 2025 field. The tournament started in 2009 and nearly every year of the golf tournament to support UWG scholarships has been at Oak Mountain Championship Golf Course, which will again be the host of the tournament on May 9, 2025. For the third consecutive year, Scott Evans Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Nissan will be the presenting sponsor,and every player will have the opportunity for a hole-in-one on the course that could win them a car from the Scott Evans family of dealerships. 

The annual fan-friendly event serves as a fun way to mingle with University of West Georgia players and coaches with a full field in each year of the tournament..This year will open with registration at 8:00 a.m., followed by instructions and rules at 8:45 and a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Teams and sponsorships are still available for this year's event, and UWG Athletics would like to thank the following sponsors for their investment into this year's tournament. 

Proceeds from the Wolves Scholarship Golf Classic will go into the General Scholarship Fund at the University of West Georgia, providing needed scholarship dollars as UWG moves forward at the Division I level.

Registration fees are $500 for a foursome or $125 for an individual golfer, which includes green fees, range, cart, food and drink and a chance to win various prizes. In past tournaments, prizes up for grabs have been a Par 3 chance to win a Nissan Rogue and a 165-yard Shootout for a chance to win $1 million.
