Cheer Brings Home National Championships in All-Girl and Large Coed

Small Coed Claims Runner-Up Finish at UCA Nationals

ORLANDO, Fla. - UWG Cheerleading added two more titles to the trophy case on Sunday at UCA Nationals, claiming Championships in All-Girl and Large Coed at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.

UWG has now won 34 championships at UCA, dating back to the first Coed title in 2002. The All-Girl squad has 13 championships including two consecutive while the Large Coed squad claimed their 20th championship. Large Coed has won back-to-back-to-back titles and it's their fifth since 2020.

"We are so proud of all three of our teams," said head coach Nicole Nichols after the weekend at UCA Nationals concluded. "They set a standard for themselves and never backed down."

All-Girl beat out Southeastern Louisiana and Morehead State to claim their title while Large Coed claimed their trophy by toppling Morehead in second place and Pittsburg State in third.

Additionally, UWG's Small Coed Team claimed a runner-up finish behind Grand Canyon.

For the weekend, UWG brings home two National Championships, a runner-up finish, and a third-place finish from Friday's Coed Partner Stunt competition.
