CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Georgia won game two of the home Jacksonville series today , 4-1, securing the series win in the opening weekend of ASUN play at Cole Field.
West Georgia (5-14, 2-0 ASUN) started the scoring in the third inning and never looked back, defeating Jacksonville (9-10, 0-2 ASUN) in front of a home crowd. The Wolves' pitching staff held the Dolphins to just four hits and one run.
Starting pitcher
Lex Kenny finished the day allowing just one run on four hits, to secure his second win for UWG.

After a quiet first two innings, the Wolves broke through in the bottom of the third.
Gabe Wuerth delivered a two-run double to get West Georgia on the board, and the Wolves added another run moments later when a Jacksonville throwing error allowed a runner to come home, making it 3-0.
The Dolphins cut into the lead in the top of the fifth off of back-to-back hits and a throwing error on the Wolves, making it 3-1.
Following several scoreless innings,
David Bell added insurance for the Wolves in the eighth with a solo shot to center field.
UWG closer
Zane Wright finished off the Dolphins in order, backed by beautiful defensive plays from Wuerth and Bell.
First pitch for the series finale is scheduled for tomorrow at 12 p.m., as the Wolves aim to complete their first sweep of the year. The game will be streamed live and the link to the live stream can be found on the UWG baseball schedule.
