CARROLLTON, Ga. - Junior guard Sydne Tolbert was named a First Team All-Atlantic Sun Conference on Monday morning announced by the league office ahead of Tuesday's opening round of the ASUN Tournament. 

The Louisville, Kentucky native was unanimously voted to the team by the ASUN women's basketball coaches. Only two other players, EKU's Joseana Vaz and Stetson's Mary McMillan, were unanimous selections. 

Tolbert played and started in all 29 games for UWG in 2025-26 and finished her junior campiagn averaging 14.2 points per game, which ranked fifth in the ASUN. She led the league in field goal percentage, connecting on 150-of-338 attempts for a 44.4 percent clip. In assists, Tolbert ranked sixth in the ASUN in assists per game (3.2) and third in assist to turnover ratio (1.3). 

In 18 games against ASUN opponents, Tolbert averaged 15.1 points per game and connected on 44.5 percent of her shots. 

At the free throw line, she didn't qualify to be among the ASUN leaders due to league minimums, but Tolbert was 69-of-83 for an 83.1 percent mark at the stripe. 

Tolbert had multiple memorable performances in her third season at UWG, scoring a then-career-high 24 playing in her hometown against Bellarmine, but she bested that total for her first 30-point game on 11-of-14 shooting in a big road win over Austin Peay. Less than a week following that performance, she scored 17 in an overtime road win at Lipscomb including a game-winner at the buzzer. 

With one guaranteed game remaining in her junior season, Tolbert will make her 56th career start. Tolbert currently sits at 846 career points, 286 career rebounds, 256 career assists, and 115 career steals. 

The Wolves open play at the ASUN Tournament on Tuesday in Jacksonville, Florida. UWG takes on North Florida on March 3 at Swisher Gymnasium on the campus of Jacksonville University.
