CARROLLTON, Ga. - Three UWG women's basketball standouts, Sydne Tolbert, Gal-la Font and Grace O'Gara, were named today to the College Sports Communicator's Academic All-District Team.
The trio was instrumental in a successful 2025-26 regular season and a postseason victory for the Wolves, all while maintaining a high-level of excellence in the classroom.
Tolbert holds a 3.68 GPA as a Health & Community Wellness while also earning unanimous First Team All-ASUN honors and Academic All-ASUN honors. The Louisville, Kentucky native led the ASUN in field goal percentage, connecting on 44.4 percent of her shots. Tolbert averaged 14.7 points per game which ranked sixth in the league.
O'Gara, also a Health & Community Wellness major, has a 3.61 GPA and averages 9.8 points per game and scored 10.4 per game against ASUN opponents. She was also an Academic All-ASUN selection.
Font, who is UWG's 2026 recipient of the Helena Harbridge Award that is given annually to an international student-athlete who excels in the classroom and in athletics, has a 3.79 GPA as an interdisciplinary studies major. Another Academic All-ASUN selection, the Barcelona, Spain native played every game with 28 starts and scored 4.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
