LEXINGTON, Ky. - Teams nearly completed two full rounds of the Bluegrass Collegiate on Monday, but with two holes remaining in round two, the UWG men's golf team is tied for 11th in Lexington, Kentucky.
The event hosted by Kentucky at the UK Golf Club features 17 teams in the field and the host Wildcats are the only team under par and they lead by nine strokes.
Max Winnersjo led UWG on Monday, opening with a 75 that featured an eagle three on the par-five 13th hole. The sophomore is in 34th place and is four over in round two with a pair of holes to play.
Next on the leaderboard is Tyler Nesci is 43rd after opening with a 78 and is three-over in his second round. One stroke behind him in 49th is Milton Wallin who had the best round one score for the Wolves, firing a 72, but the sophomore is 10-over par in his second round.
Thomas Romani shot 75 in round one and is eight-over with two holes remaining in his second round. Romani is in 57th place while Luke Able is in 64th. Able shot 79 in the first round and is five over through 16 in round two.
The Wolves will conclude round two from the UK Golf Club tomorrow before going right into the third and final round.
