4/29/2026 3:30:00 PM

CARROLLTON, Ga. - The West Georgia men's basketball team got a little bit bigger today, with head coach Dave Moore announcing the first transfer signing of the 2026 class, Juaquin Dixon.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and hailing from Chicago, Illinois, the junior guard spent his first two seasons playing at Malcolm X College, a Region 4 Division I NJCAA school located in the Windy City.

"Juaquin Dixon is a versatile 6'4 guard that can really score. He can play the 2G or PG and is coming off an elite season in junior college," stated head coach Dave Moore. "We expect him to come in and make an immediate impact right away! We can't wait to get started working with JRoc!"

Over the span of two years, Dixon averaged 20.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game on 48.2 percent shooting through 62 starts. Before his career was said and done, Dixon earned City Colleges of Chicago Men's Basketball Player of the Year twice, was named NJCAA Region 4 Player of the Year and was a national NJCAA All-America Honorable Mention.

Dixon joins Jaylin Sweat as the second signee of the 2026 UWG men's basketball class.
