Carrollton, GA - With the close of the fall semester of 2013, the University of West Georgia released the names of the 2013 Fall Dean's List honorees for achieving a 3.0 GPA for the semester. Among this year's list were 80 UWG student-athletes representing 13 different areas within the athletic department.
Football, having the largest roster in the department, had the most Dean's List members with 19, including First Team All-GSC performers in lineman #
Garrison Ushery# and running back #
Derick Seward#. Soccer added 10 players, including All-GSC keeper #
Mary Laza# and volleyball had six, including All-GSC hitter #
Emily Reul# and setter #
Amanda Miller#.
Women's cross-country likely had one of the largest ratios of Dean's List performers to players on the roster, placing eight on this year's Dean's List. That includes sophomores #
Tiffany Wommack# and #
Brooke Wommack# as well as freshman #
Morgan Laushey#.
Men's and women's golf contributed five total student-athletes with three for the men and two for the women. That includes junior #
Kevin Clarke#, who made the Dean's List with a stroke average of under par as well as two-time All-GSC performer #

Cheerleading added eight members of their squad to the Dean's List along with two from Sports Medicine. Women's tennis and Track & Field each contributed three student-athletes to the Dean's List. Men's basketball produced one player on the Dean's List in #

The spring sports brought 17 names to the list, led by 10 from softball. Baseball contributed seven players to the Fall Dean's list, led by All-American pitcher #
